Decoding antibody-driven immunity against pathogenic infection

Welcome!

We are a new research group at the Shmunis School of Biomedicine and Cancer Research, Tel-Aviv University.  We study how antibodies recruit and activate immune cells to combat enteric pathogens, informing the design of protective vaccines and novel therapeutics.

Gut pathogens are a global challenge

Bacterial and viral gut infections affect millions of people worldwide every year. As antimicrobial resistance continues to rise, understanding immune protection against these pathogens is more urgent than ever.

Engineering immune protection against pathogens

We develop high-throughput antibody profiling and Fc-engineering approaches to define protective antibody mechanisms, informing the design of improved vaccines and antibody-based therapeutics.
